Vocal Health

I want all of my students to have long successful careers, so I spent 3 decades studying and working with singers to keep their voices healthy alongside ENTS and Speech Therapists. I am the Go-To person for Singing Voice Rehabilitation when professional singers and college students get into vocal distress.

I successfully completed my vocology internship at the Mt. Sinai Grabscheid Voice Center in New York with Dr. Peak Woo and Dr. Linda Carroll where I observed Dr. Carroll, Speech Pathologist, treat patients from loss of voice through teaching, post-surgical therapy, traumatic injuries and general misuse. In addition, I examined the use of spectrographs for patient analysis. For Dr. Peak Woo, Otolaryngologist, I observed him treat patients with assorted pathologies including Spasmodic Dysphonia and other vocal injuries.

Previously, I completed a vocology internship observing Dr. Anat Keidar, Speech Pathologist at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York, treat many patients.

Various Vocal Issues that I will address along with your Laryngologist and Speech Therapist are:
  • Muscle Tension Dysphonia (MTD)
  • Raspiness
  • Breathiness
  • Nodules
  • Polyps
  • Vocal Strain
  • Vocal Fatigue
  • Hoarseness
  • Loss of Vocal Range
  • Mucus (Sinus, Allergy)
